Legal Fees for DWI and Criminal Cases 2018-07-02T05:08:57-05:00

Legal Fees

In nearly all cases, the firm charges a reasonable, flat fee that is agreed upon in writing at the beginning of the case. Jay Carey adheres to a philosophy of providing aggressive, effective representation at reasonable rates. He understands that legal fees are one of several significant costs facing clients. Accordingly, Jay strives to deliver high-quality, detailed advocacy in a cost-effective manner.

For cases occurring within the greater Twin Cities area, the firm’s flat rates generally range from $1,000 to $3,500 for misdemeanor offenses, $1,500 to $4,000 for gross misdemeanor offenses, and $3,000 or more for felony offenses. Please contact Jay Carey for a free consultation and specific quote regarding legal fees in your case. Jay will take into account your financial circumstances when providing you a quote.

Generally, the entire flat fee is paid upon commencement of representation. If a client is unable to pay the entire flat fee at the outset, the firm may agree to a payment plan, depending on the client’s financial circumstances and ability to make payments.

Acceptable forms of payment include check, money order, cash, and credit card.
